A Family Dentist That Stands Out Above the Rest near Arlington, VA

Are you looking for a new family dentist near Arlington, VA? If so, we invite you to compare our services to any of our competitors. When you do, we think you’ll agree that Annandale Smiles is where you want to be!

When it comes to finding the “right” family dentist near Arlington, VA, there’s no one feature or aspect of the dentist’s office that stands heads and shoulders above the rest but rather, it’s finding the “right” combination of services that your family needs that makes all the difference.

Since the day we first opened our doors, and under the leadership of Dr. Johnson, we’ve prided ourselves on being more than just an occasional stopping off point for people who need dental service. We’ve positioned ourselves to be the family dentist of choice near Arlington, VA. Here’s how we’ve done that:

A Commitment To Comfort

You can’t claim to be the best family dentist near Arlington, VA if you don’t put a lot of emphasis on comfort. While it’s true that nobody really enjoys a trip to the dentist, small children tend to be especially nervous or frightened. To that end, we offer creature comforts like TVs in all our treatment rooms, headphones, and even blankets.

For patients who are especially fearful, we also offer mild sedation treatments to make the time in the treatment chair less terrifying.

Extended Hours

We understand that work and family life come first. Because of that, we make sure that our offices are open late, so you can minimize the need to miss work to make an appointment to come see us. At present, our office hours are:

Monday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Our office is closed on Sundays.

Lots Of Payment Options

When it comes to finding the right family dentist near Arlington, VA, one of the worst feelings is to discover a great office with all the services and creature comforts you want, only to discover that they don’t take whatever form of insurance you have.

We completely understand that, which is why we’ve taken pains to accept as many different types of insurance as possible. We currently accept:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem
  • Assurant
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Carefirst
  • Cigna (Total DPPO)
  • Delta Dental
  • GEHA
  • Guardian
  • Lincoln Financial Group
  • Metlife
  • Principal
  • Sun Life
  • And United Concordia (all plans except active military)

If you don’t see your insurance company listed above, we also accept both Care Credit and the Citi Health Flexible Monthly Payment Option. If, for whatever reason, you can’t get either of those, we also have our own Platinum Membership Club, which provides you with deep discounts on most of the services we offer.

A Full Range Of General Dentistry Services

All of the stuff we’ve talked about so far is important, but let’s face it, if we didn’t provide a full range of services, we wouldn’t be a very good dentist’s office. Here, you’ll find a lot to like. Our general dentistry services include:

  • Tooth-colored fillings – Because nobody wants a filling that stands out like a sore thumb
  • Braces services – see below for details
  • Teeth Whitening services – see below for details
  • Root canals
  • Metal-free crowns
  • Preventive care
  • Gum care
  • And infection control

There’s a lot here, and we want to draw your attention to two areas in particular where we feel that we have a lot to offer.

While every dentist’s office provides regular braces and the services that go along with them, we offer two really exciting alternatives to conventional braces.

The first is our “Six Month Smiles” program. These utilize clear (and nearly invisible) braces that are guaranteed to give you a smile you can be proud of in just six months! Compare that to conventional braces, which you may have to leave on for as long as two years to get the results you’re looking for.

The difference here is that the Six Month Smiles program only focuses on your front teeth. The back teeth take a bit longer to properly adjust, but since you can’t really see them when you smile anyway, some people prefer to focus on their visible teeth. We get that, and that’s exactly why this program was designed.

Our other option is the “Invisalign” program. These are small, clear, virtually invisible caps that you can wear and remove at your discretion, so if you have a dinner or an important function to go to, you can simply take them out, and put them back in later.

If you opt for this program, we’ll take detailed scans of your teeth and create a whole series of caps. Every couple of weeks, you’ll come back in and get the next set, which work to progressively straighten your teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Every dentist’s office offers basic teeth cleaning services, but we have worked hard to go above and beyond what everyone else is doing. To that end, we offer three different types of whitening. In-office, Smiles for Life, and Kor Whitening.

The in-office whitening is something you’re probably familiar with, and our service, while somewhat different, works the same way. Our Whitening for Life program sees us making custom bleaching trays for you by taking an impression of your teeth, then sending you home with the trays, bleaching gel and instructions on their use. The Kor Whitening program is our strongest treatment option, and is designed for people with especially dark stains on their teeth that are not responsive to other, more conventional treatments.

In addition to that, we offer a full range of cosmetic dentistry services too, including dentures and partials, implants, and veneers. Basically, every type of dental service your family might need, all under one roof!
