Are you looking for a new local dentist near Arlington, VA? If so, we invite you to compare our service offerings to every other dentist in the region. When you do, we think you’ll agree – nobody does it like Annandale Smiles.

If you’ve tried out a few dentists before, but the ones you’ve visited so far have left you wanting, it may be time to rethink. What is it, exactly, that makes a great local dentist near Arlington, VA? What combination of services are you looking for?

We’ve been in the business for a long time, and we’ve become the area’s top-rated dental office by listening to our customers and giving them what they want. Here’s why we’d like to be your local dentist of choice, near Arlington, VA:

Comfort First!

We take the comfort of our patients very seriously, because we understand that nobody’s idea of a good time is spending a couple hours in a dental chair for treatment, no matter what form it takes.

To that end, in addition to having state-of-the-art treatment rooms, every room has a TV in it for your viewing pleasure (and to provide a nice distraction), and we offer both headphones and blankets to help keep you comfortable.

While those things help, we realize that for some patients, that still won’t e enough, and if you’re especially anxious and fearful, we also offer sedation dentistry to give you an extra dose of calm.

Extended Office Hours

One of the things that separates a good dentist from a truly great local dentist near Arlington, VA is the fact that they’re open late, which minimizes your need to miss work to keep your appointments. Our office hours are:

Monday: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Please note that our office is closed on Sunday.

By taking advantage of our evening hours of operation, you can often schedule your appointments such that you won’t have to miss any work at all, except in cases where there’s a lot of work to be done.

Lots of Insurance Options and Ways to Pay

Picture the scene: You find what looks like the perfect local dentist near Arlington, VA. They’ve got great office hours and offer every dental service under the sun. There’s just one problem: They don’t accept your insurance. It’s beyond frustrating.

This is the reason we’ve worked hard to expand the number of insurance companies we work with. At present, we accept:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem
  • Assurant
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield
  • Carefirst
  • Cigna (the Total DPPO Plan)
  • Delta Dental
  • GEHA
  • Guardian
  • Lincoln Financial Group
  • MetLife
  • Principal
  • Sun Life
  • And United Concordia

In the case of United Concordia, we accept all plans except for those offered to active military, because active military members are covered on-base.

If you don’t see your insurance listed above, don’t worry! We also accept both Care Credit and the Citi Health Flexible Monthly Payment Option, and if you don’t have or can’t get either of those, there’s always our Platinum Membership Plan, which will give you great discounts on most of the services we provide.

A Genuinely Helpful Patient Portal

Too many small businesses don’t make very good use of the web, and unfortunately, that also includes a lot of the local dentists near Arlington, VA.

We’ve spent a lot of time on our website, and our patient portal is easy to use and genuinely helpful, allowing you to access your records, and even pay your bill online. It’s a small thing, but we think it really matters, and most of our patients agree!

  • Sedation dentistry

  • Metal-free crowns

  • Dental implants
  • Dentures and partials
  • Gum care
  • Infection control
  • And more!

Two of the services we mentioned above deserve a closer look. While every local dentist near Arlington, VA works with conventional braces and offers some form of teeth whitening, we offer multiple options in both areas, and we’ll outline those in more detail just below.

Braces Options

While every dental office deals with conventional braces, we offer two exciting options you may want to consider. The first of these is our “Six Month Smiles” program.

Whereas conventional braces can take as long as two years to get the job done, the braces used here will work their magic in as little as six months. The reason is simple. Where conventional braces focus on all your teeth, these are designed to focus only on your front-facing teeth, the ones people see when you smile.

Since your back teeth move more slowly, they take longer to adjust. By removing them from the equation, we can cut the timeframe down considerably.

Even better, these braces are clear. While they’re not invisible, they are much better than the conventional “metal mouth” and will make you much less self-conscious while wearing them.

Our other option is Invisalign.

These work like braces, but are even better. The process starts with you coming into our office so we can make a detailed 3d scan of your teeth. We’ll be using this scan to create a whole series of sets of custom-fitting caps for your teeth. That process takes about a week, and once they’re ready, we’ll bring you back into our office for an initial fitting of the first set.

Unlike conventional braces, you can take these out and put them back in yourself, so if you’ve got an evening out planned, you can simply remove them, then put them back in when you get home.

Every couple of weeks, we’ll ask you to come back in so we can check your progress and give you the next set of caps in the series. Each set of caps is designed to accelerate the movement of your teeth, repositioning them gently, and with surprising speed. You’ll have the smile you want before you know it!

Teeth Whitening Options

Now let’s talk about teeth cleaning and whitening. Here, we’ve got three options for you to choose from.

Our in-office whitening treatment is very much like what other dental offices offer. We do it as a part of your visit, and by the time we’re done, your teeth will be up to eight shades whiter than when you came in. You’d have to use over the counter treatments for at least a month to get similar results, so that’s amazing for a one-time visit!

Another great option is our “Whitening for Life” program. Here, we start by taking an impression of your teeth. We’ll use this impression to create custom-fitted dental trays for you, which is a process that takes about a week.

Once they’re ready, we’ll ask you back into our office, give you the trays, a tube of bleaching gel, and instructions on their use. You’ll be doing these treatments at home, so there are no appointments to make, and you can do it on your own schedule.

Best of all, as long as you stay current with your six-month preventive care visits, when you come back into our office, we’ll give you another tube of bleaching gel, for life! This gel is much stronger than anything you can buy over the counter, and is a great way to ensure a perfect, brilliant smile.

Finally, there’s our Kor Whitening treatment. This is our strongest option, and works by restoring your teeth’s ability to absorb oxygen. Unlike our other treatment options, the effects here are permanent. It’s a highly recommended option for people who have particularly stubborn stains on their teeth that don’t respond to conventional treatments.

Finding the right local dentist doesn’t have to be a challenge. It comes down to finding an office that puts your comfort first, offers a vast array of services, and numerous ways to pay.

If you’re looking for a local dentist to call home, look no further. We can’t wait to exceed your expectations.
